Garden Place is a secure setting with casual decor and beautiful views of the seaside garden on the Mark Wentworth Home grounds.  The accommodations offer a casual, family style dining area and cozy den, and a combination of spacious private rooms and comfortable companion rooms.  The setting at Garden Place has been designed for Residents who require an addtional level of oversight for safety or medically complex needs, so they are able to Age-in-Place in the comfort of a residential community.

Companions for Comfort and Social Stimulation

Companion rooms provide an opportunity for social stimulation that is so important for the wellbeing of our residents with intermediate or advanced dementia.  The Companion Rooms in Garden Place allow for a flexible arrangement of furnishings and can accommodate couples who would both benefit from the level of oversight provided by our care staff. 

Structured Social Programs for Memory Enhancement

Garden Place offers a series of structured programs daily, focused on providing Residents with an environment that promotes the comfort and freedom to learn, grow and hone life skills.  The Mark Wentworth Home's memory care program has been designed by a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to enhance memory and support well-being by implementing former routine activities that were once an enriching part of every day life.

• Elevated number of care providers, providing supervision and assistance with activities of daily living and medication support 24-hours a day
• One-floor living with 24-hour security system to prevent risk of wandering

• Nutritious meals and snacks appropriate for regular or therapeutic diets

• Mechanical lifts available for residents with severely impaired mobility
• Stimulating activity programs based on residents' interests, with a focus on enhancing life skills
