The Mark Wentworth Home is a not-for-profit assisted living facility located in an historic Portsmouth landmark. With nearly 100 years of experience caring for Seacoast seniors, we are a trusted provider of senior living services in the area, and fill a vital need by providing seniors with a safe, comfortable, and caring home.

Community

Community exists on many levels at the Mark Wentworth Home. The Mark Wentworth Home serves Portsmouth and the surrounding community by providing a supportive, residential setting for seniors to continue their lives in this culturally rich part of New England.  Having a 100 year history of providing care in Portsmouth means that our community includes the many generations of families who choose to call the Mark Wentworth Home theirs.  The mansion, one of our three buildings, is listed on the National Historic Register and is an intrinsic part of the historic community in Portsmouth. Most importantly, the assisted living communities within the Mark Wentworth Home instill a sense of belonging by promoting friendships and daily opportunities for connections among residents.

At the Mark Wentworth Home, our philosophy and practice emphasizes wellness based on the emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual aspects of aging.  Every program at the Mark Wentworth Home has been developed to help every individual reach his or her potential, and age more successfully.  The relatively small size of our community allows us to grow and evolve with the needs of our population, providing a true "Age-in-Place" senior living environment.
